Is JD Sports open on Boxing Day?

No national JD Sports Boxing Day schedule has been found for 2025, either from JD or in dated press reports. JD’s branch pages in December 2025 showed normal weekly hours and said hours may differ on public holidays. Treat opening as store by store, and check the branch before travelling.

JD had 410 JD-branded stores in the UK at 31 January 2026, according to its 2026 annual report. Hours can differ between high-street, shopping-centre and retail-park branches.

Build a like-for-like comparison

For footwear, note the product code, colour, adult or junior version and size. Compare those details with the same item elsewhere before treating a lower price as a saving. For clothing, check whether a listing includes one garment or a complete set.

Use the JD Sports sports guide alongside the Nike and Adidas retailer pages. There is no checked price comparison on this page that establishes a cheaper retailer, a best brand or a reliable sell-out deadline.

The return route depends on the order

JD’s returns policy describes returns of eligible online orders to a UK store within 28 days, with the dispatch note. Store purchases need to go back to a store, and JD says it does not offer exchanges for online orders.

Orders fulfilled by Adidas, Under Armour, Reebok, Timberland, Vans or The North Face follow a different route: JD directs these returns to the brand partner. Read the dispatch note before taking an online purchase to a branch.

No dated 2025 Christmas returns extension has been verified. JD’s site carries an extended-returns label, but it shows no year and appears unchanged across 2024, 2025 and 2026, so it is not treated as the 2025 policy here.

Choose fit before the discount

Start with the activity and fit you need, then compare suitable models. A lifestyle trainer and a running shoe are not interchangeable simply because both are reduced. For a matching tracksuit, check that both pieces are available in your size and include both in the comparison.

You can browse JD Sports for current listings. The Boxing Day dates guide explains the calendar, and the opening hours guide covers other retailers.
